The TZS Series Candle Filter, affectionately referred to as a candle diatomaceous earth filter, is an innovative self-cleaning filter expertly crafted for superior solid-liquid separation. This remarkable device is ideal for clarifying and recovering liquids, effectively handling solid content that varies from as high as 5% to as minuscule as below 1%, and even down to trace levels. With its cutting-edge technology, this filter ensures unparalleled efficiency and reliability in filtering processes.
 

Work Principle

 

The candle filter is an ingeniously designed sealed system, comprised of numerous porous filter cartridges, commonly referred to as candle filter cartridges. These cartridges are sheathed with a precisely paired filter cloth. As the liquid flows through this advanced mechanism, larger material particles are adeptly captured on the surface of the filter cloth. Over time, these solid particles accumulate to form what is known as the 'filter cake layer.' This layer's minimal particle gap effectively prevents particulate impurities from escaping, ensuring that the resulting filtrate is crystal clear. Consequently, the desired filtration outcome for production is achieved, earning the candle filter its alternate name as the filter cake layer filter.

Once the 'filter cake layer' accumulates beyond a certain thickness due to prolonged filtration, the passage rate of the filtrate through this layer diminishes, leading to reduced filtration efficiency. At this pivotal juncture, it is essential to remove the 'filter cake layer' to restore optimal performance. The system, leveraging signals from the pressure sensor, initiates a backflushing process to remove the accumulated cake. By opening the valve situated at the base of the cylinder, the sludge is efficiently discharged, paving the way for a new 'filter cake layer' to take form, thus commencing a fresh filtration cycle.
