The Flexible polyurethane screen is a polyurethane-coated stainless steel wire rope screen that offers the same open area as woven wire screens and boasts significant advantages over traditional screens.

The polyurethane-coated stainless steel wire rope screen is constructed by welding together two types of ropes.

The rope extending from hook to hook is a wire rope encased in a thick polyurethane coating. This rope, along with the wire, enables the hooked-edge screen to be tensioned in the same manner as other hooked-edge screens, without requiring any modifications to the machinery.
 

The other rope consists of a fine synthetic cord, also coated with a thick layer of polyurethane, and runs parallel to the hooked edge.In side-tensioned setups, this rope functions similarly to rider bars, allowing larger stones to slide down the deck while channeling smaller ones closer to the apertures. This enhanced stratification process improves screening efficiency.

For end-tensioned screens, this rope can be positioned either on top, running in a cross-flow orientation, or beneath the wire rope.
