The working principle of a bag filter revolves around the efficient extraction of particulate matter from airflow. As the airflow enters the filter, it navigates through an array of meticulously engineered filter bags composed of superior filtration media such as polyester, nylon, or fiberglass. These filter bags are designed with minuscule pores that adeptly trap particles, allowing them to amass on the outer surfaces of the bags. Meanwhile, the purified gas seamlessly passes through these bags and is released from the filter, achieving impeccable gas filtration. The accumulated dust particles form a beneficial dust cake on the surface of the filter bags.
Interestingly, this dust cake enhances the filtration efficiency by further capturing smaller particles. Once the pressure drop across the filter bags escalates to a specified level, signifying excessive thickness of the dust cake, the advanced cleaning system is engaged. A strategically directed pulse of compressed air is deployed through the bags in the reverse direction, effectively dislodging the dust cake into a collection hopper for disposal, thereby accomplishing a thorough cleaning effect.
