These well points are perforated cylinders used to create shallow wells by driving the cone-shaped end of the well point into the soil instead of digging a well.The perforations in the cylinder allow water to enter and collect inside the cylinder. A screen on the inside of the cylinder keeps out coarse sand and gravel. A drop pipe is inserted in the cylinder so the collected water can be pumped up to the surface.
